Want to be a guest on the podcast?
Interested in being a guest on the podcast? Here are a few types of guests Fawna looks for:

-Specialists in witchcraft or pagan topics, or someone that can provide quality information on related topics
-Other witch or pagan podcasts hosts
-Non-witch or pagan friends who specialize in topics that could benefit the witch and pagan communities

What Fawna looks for in a host:

-Polite conversations and informative topics
-Guests open to critiques or questions if there is a difference in opinions.
-For suggested hosts to provide links and content (books or other mediums) for review BEFORE a decision is made to collaborate. Fawna will not accept a collaboration if she cannot review the requestors content or experience history

What Fawna ISN'T look for:

-Guests that promote hate, hate groups, racism, anti-vax or anti-modern medicine views
-Religion bashing
-Fiction works/fan fiction

Fawna understands that many use podcasts as a way to promote their businesses, podcasts or books, but at this time Fawna is not looking to promote books, products, or a follow-for-follow process to push "free publicity" if she cannot vouch for or confirm quality of a product or creator.
Example: if someone is promoting a book, she will not accept the collaboration before reading the content, unless she reaches out first and already can vouch for the writer based on pervious works or content
Cats, Tea and Witchcraft Podcast is a ZERO profit podcast that doesn't aim to be a "free source" to those who only wish to promote their products vs. educating the community on topics of witchcraft. This is done for the safety of the podcast, Fawna, and her listeners. Any books, or sources that are promoted on the podcast are reviewed by Fawna before speaking on the topic or quality of a product.
Fawna references books, podcasts, videos, and websites for sources. She tries her best to use content that has a range of views and types of information. Some of the content is VERY dated and not all views may be the same as they are in todays world which is why she always mentions "take everything with a grain of salt," or to do additional research to understand the context and HISTORY of the content. Views on topics and culture change very rapidly and might not be 100% valid or useful today as it was in the past.

Fawna also tries her best to try not to promote problematic content or creators within reason, but doesn't actively participate in "cancel culture " without doing her own research on a topic or creator that is called might bring up "red flags". But, as a reminder, just because someone has a different perspective than you, it doesn't automatically mean it is harmful, gate-keeping, or wrong. If you feel there is a source that she has used or mentions that may be problematic, and she has not mentioned possible issues with the content at some point in the podcasts history, please send her polite email or message on the matter. Please listen to all the episodes before sending such messages just in case the topic has already been mentioned or dealt with).
